TARAZfest-Meghri 2026 traditional costume and crafts festival to be held September 4-7

The TARAZfest-Meghri 2026 International Festival of Traditional Costume and Crafts will be held September 4-7 in Meghri, Syunik Province, with the support of Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and the Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS Member States, and on the initiative of the Teryan Cultural Center.

TARAZfest is one of the Teryan Cultural Center’s key annual cultural projects. Its main goal is to preserve and promote national costumes, ethnic textiles and traditional crafts, and to expand international cultural cooperation.

This year, the festival will bring together delegations, designers and craftspeople from CIS and partner countries, including Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The festival program includes displays of traditional and contemporary ethnic collections, presentations of original works by Armenian and international designers, master classes, and an exhibition and sale of traditional crafts, textiles and handmade works.

TARAZfest-Meghri 2026 is not only a platform for valuing national identity and centuries-old traditions, but also a unique cultural bridge bringing different peoples together through the shared language of art, colors and traditional patterns.
