The death toll from Sunday night’s U.S. military strike on Iran’s Larak Island rose to three after one of the wounded died in a hospital from their injuries, the Iranian Tasnim news agency reported.
An undisclosed number of people were injured in the attack.
U.S. forces struck Larak Island, targeting what they described as Iranian mine-launching sites used to deploy mines in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran responded to the attack overnight on August 31 by targeting two U.S. military bases in Jordan and launching a drone toward the United Arab Emirates.
