Anahit Avanesyan holds another meeting with representatives of the Armenian Medical Association

Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan discussed with representatives of the Armenian Medical Association opportunities to identify existing problems in the health insurance system and propose solutions, the Armenian Health Ministry said.

The ministry noted that the minister issued instructions to address technical issues, while also calling on associations to be more active and to submit in writing any precedent-setting issues and proposals for discussion, stressing the ministry’s readiness for cooperation.

“Considering that we are still in the first stage of implementing health insurance, it is important for me that the problems arising during these first months of implementation are identified in a timely manner and that I hear your observations and proposals. This will make it possible to organise our further work in a more targeted and precise manner,” the minister said.

Members of the professional community attending the discussion presented the problems recorded in their respective fields during these months. The procedure for organising referrals was also addressed.
