The death toll in the flash floods in Nepal had risen to 359 as of 17:00 local time (12:15 BST), the BBC reported, citing local police.
This comes about an hour after police announced that the death toll was 332.
Rescuers are looking for survivors after massive flash flooding on the Nepal-China border destroyed homes, swamped roads, and swept away bridges.
More than 900 people are missing in Nepal.
In China’s Tibet, at least 558 people are missing, with three confirmed dead — it’s not clear if these figures overlap with Nepal’s, according to the BBC.
On both sides of the border, hundreds of foreigners are missing — Nepal says those missing include 178 tourists from India, 127 from Nepal, 65 Americans, and 33 from the UK. Dozens of army and police personnel are also missing.
The US Geological Survey says “glacial collapse and debris flow” triggered the floods, and there are fears of more flooding, with debris blocking rivers.
