Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who resigned on 27 September, has said Serbia will not face a “French scenario” of mass unrest after the elections.
“You will not see a French scenario in Serbia,” Vučić told Informer TV, according to TASS.
Serbia will hold snap parliamentary elections on 25 October. Vučić will lead the ruling Serbian Progressive Party’s (SNS) electoral list and be its candidate for prime minister.
The SNS’s main rival will be the “Student List”, led by Novi Sad cardiologist Ilija Srđanović.
