Opposition candidate confirmed as chair of parliamentary Committee on European Integration

Opposition Strong Armenia MP Harutyun Harutyunyan passed a confirmation vote and was elected chair of the parliamentary Committee on European Integration.

Of the 105 members of parliament, 104 participated in the vote. Fifty-six MPs voted in favor of Harutyun Harutyunyan and 48 against.

Harutyunyan wasn’t the original pick of Strong Armenia for the post. The faction had initially nominated Arega Hovsepyan, but she was not elected to the position following the vote.
