Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned the United States and Middle Eastern countries that allow Washington to use their territory that they will face severe retaliation if strikes on Iran’s civilian infrastructure continue.
According to TASS, citing an IRGC statement, the warning was directed at both the United States and regional states hosting U.S. military forces.
“The United States and the states that provide it with military bases in the region for the deployment of its forces must understand that crossing red lines and attacking civilians and civilian infrastructure will lead to an extremely severe retaliation,” the statement said. Tehran warned that, otherwise, the Islamic Republic would carry out even more devastating retaliatory strikes, “ones that will remain in the history of wars forever.”
Earlier, Iran said the death toll from the U.S. strikes had risen to eight, adding that bridges, an airport and a railway station had been targeted.
