The European Union is currently discussing ways to increase pressure on Moscow and continue supporting Ukraine, rather than pursuing negotiations with Russia, President of the European Council António Costa said in response to journalists’ questions following the EU-Moldova summit. “Unfortunately, we are not talking about negotiations at this moment,” TASS quoted Costa as saying, adding that Moscow is not ready for dialogue. The President of the European Council stressed that the EU does not seek to act as a mediator. “The European Union stands with Ukraine and supports Ukraine,” Costa said.
