The Mayor of the French town of Vienne, Thierry Kovacs, and his delegation have visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan.

The French delegation is in Armenia as part of cooperation program between the sister cities of Armenia’s Syunik region and France’s Auvergne–Rhône-Alpes region.

The delegates laid flowers at the memorial in honor of the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and then visited the museum to view the exhibitions, according to a press release from the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

They also signed the guestbook and visited Memory Park, where trees planted by prominent visitors include one planted in 2019 by Laurent Wauquiez, then president of the Regional Council of Auvergne–Rhône-Alpes.
