Pashinyan says Armenia–Russia relations are “open and sincere”

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reiterated on Monday that relations between Armenia and Russia are undergoing a “transformation” and that his administration places importance on further developing ties with Moscow.

“We are significantly developing and attaching importance to our relations with the Russian Federation, and I have also said on multiple occasions that our relations with Russia are in a phase of transformation,” Pashinyan said in a video posted on social media, commenting on his administration’s “balanced and balancing” foreign policy.

“I consider the transformation phase to be positive because, yes, in the context of this new situation, we are establishing new relations with Russia, and I am confident that we will succeed in this,” Pashinyan said.

He stressed the open and sincere nature of the relationship.

“Our relations with Russia are open and sincere; we have not left any dark corners in these relations,” the Prime Minister said.
