Armenian, Georgian Prime Ministers discuss strategic ties

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

The Armenian Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout that the two leaders discussed “a broad range of issues concerning the bilateral strategic relationship agenda” during their one-on-one meeting.

“The consistent development and expansion of trade and economic cooperation was emphasized. In this context, attention was drawn to the 15th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and Georgia, scheduled to take place today. Both sides expressed confidence that the meeting will provide a new impetus to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors. The prime ministers also exchanged views on a number of issues of regional significance. The continuation of steps aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region was highlighted,” the Prime Minister’s Office said.

Prime Minister Pashinyan is visiting Georgia from March 3 to 4.
