In January 2026, Armenia’s economic activity continued to grow, with the overall economic activity index rising 7.6% compared to the same month last year, according to the Statistical Committee.
Key year-on-year developments in January 2026 include:
Industrial production rose 10.6%, exceeding 229.5 billion drams.
Construction expanded 18.7%, reaching 22.3 billion drams.
Trade turnover increased slightly by 0.7% to 414.7 billion drams, while services grew 7.4%, totaling 318 billion drams.
Consumer prices climbed 3.8%, and the industrial production price index rose 8.6%.
Electricity production grew 18.1%, reaching just over 1 billion kilowatt-hours (excluding output from autonomous producers).
