Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, Davit Khudatyan, on Fridaay received a delegation led by Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, the ministry said in a press release.
The minister welcomed Mariam Kvrivishvili to Armenia and highlighted the need to deepen multi-sectoral cooperation with Georgia.
Mariam Kvrivishvili expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized that Armenia is a strategic partner for Georgia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral agenda issues in the energy and transport sectors.
Minister Khudatyan emphasized that Armenia attaches great importance to the construction of the Armenia–Georgia air power transmission line, which will enable the export of additional electricity to Georgia.
Both sides also stressed the importance of developing the aviation sector and the need to establish direct flights between cities in Armenia and Georgia.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to draw up an action plan to implement the outlined programs.
