Armenia and Greece signed a memorandum of understanding on technological cooperation during President Vahagn Khachaturyan’s state visit.
The memorandum was signed by Gevorg Mantashyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, and Christos Dermentzopoulos, First Deputy Minister of Digital Governance of Greece.
Speaking to journalists about the significance of the memorandum, Gevorg Mantashyan noted that Armenia already has considerable experience in technological cooperation with Greece, and the memorandum summarizes the work done so far while outlining directions for future collaboration.
“With Greece, we have friendly relations, and it is no coincidence that we work with our partners on a broad agenda. Today we are outlining the directions in which we are moving forward. There are many areas — digitalization, cloud technologies. Greece has interesting experience here, which we are very interested in,” Mantashyan said.
The Deputy Minister also pointed out that the deepening of Armenia–U.S. relations, as well as expected investments and programs from the U.S. in the technology sector, have generated significant interest among Armenia’s other partners.
