Armenian Minister of Infrastructure, EU official discuss development of aviation sector

Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan received a delegation led by Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission, the ministry said in a press release.

Minister Khudatyan welcomed the guests and highlighted the expanding agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership.

The Minister emphasized that one of the key priorities of the Armenian Government is to promote and implement the inclusive connectivity agenda for both Armenia and the wider region through active dialogue with partners.

During the meeting, the Minister presented Armenia’s priorities for the construction and expansion of new infrastructure in the context of regional de-blockade.

In particular, reference was made to railway and road border infrastructure, the "Crossroads of Peace" project, as well as priority tasks in the energy sector.

Issues related to the development of the aviation sector were also discussed.
