Armenian Ambassador presents credentials to King of Thailand

Armenian Ambassador to Thailand, Vahe Gevorgyan (stationed in Beijing), presented his credentials to the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Gevorgyan emphasized his readiness to make every effort to strengthen the friendship between the two peoples, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

The King of Thailand congratulated Ambassador Gevorgyan on assuming his post and wished him success in his mission. He noted that the warm and constructive relations between the two countries provide an important foundation for deepening bilateral cooperation and contribute to initiatives for regional and global collaboration.

Following the credential presentation ceremony, a meeting took place between Vahe Gevorgyan and Thailand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, during which bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues were discussed.

The Armenian Ambassador also presented the priorities of Armenia’s presidency within the framework of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), scheduled to take place in Yerevan this October, and expressed gratitude to Thailand for its active cooperation within the framework of COP17.
