YouTube monetization to become available in Armenia

YouTube has announced that its Partner Program is coming to Armenia, enabling creators in the country to monetize their content.

Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, welcomed the move, describing it as an important step toward strengthening the digital economy, empowering local creators, and increasing the global visibility of Armenian content and innovation.

“We welcome YouTube’s announcement regarding the expansion of its engagement in the Armenian market. This is an important step toward strengthening Armenia’s digital economy, empowering our rapidly growing community of content creators, and promoting the global visibility of Armenian content, culture, and innovation. For Armenia, platforms such as YouTube are not only about content; they are about economic opportunity, digital entrepreneurship, and strengthening societal resilience against disinformation through diverse and trustworthy voices. The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia will continue to cooperate with major global partners to ensure that Armenian creators and technology companies are fully integrated into the global digital ecosystem. We look forward to the continued development of these positive dynamics together with our American partners and are ready to deepen cooperation with YouTube and the broader technology community,” the minister said in a statement.
