Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting concludes in Abu Dhabi

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have concluded their meeting in Abu Dhabi.

The leaders met in an enlarged format, followed by one-on-one talks.

The meeting in the UAE capital took place ahead of the 2026 Zayed Award for Human Fraternity ceremony. Both leaders have been named 2026 honorees of the Zayed Award in recognition of the peace process between the two countries.

The enlarged-format meeting was attended by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ruben Rubinyan.

The Azerbaijani side included Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev, and President Aliyev’s envoy for special assignments, Elchin Amirbayov.
