Human Rights Defender meets with Vicken and Linda Euljekjian

The Human Rights Defender (Ombudsperson) Anahit Manasyan has received Vicken Euljekjian and his wife Linda Euljekjian, the Office of the Human Rights Defender has said.

Welcoming the guests, Manasyan noted that issues related to their rights had been a priority since the first day and had been consistently raised with the relevant international and domestic bodies.

Linda Euljekjian thanked the Human Rights Defender for keeping their concerns in the spotlight throughout the entire period, as well as for Manasyan’s efforts in securing social assistance and providing the necessary support.

During the meeting, a number of issues related to rights protection were discussed. Manasyan emphasized that these matters would also be examined and addressed by the staff of the Human Rights Defender’s Office.

Azerbaijan released four Armenian captives on January 14, who were transferred to Armenia. Vicken Euljekjian was among those released.
