Russia, UAE and China remain Armenia’s top export destinations

Russia, the UAE, and China remain the top destinations for Armenian exports, according to the Statistical Committee.

According to the data, however, overall export volumes in January–November 2025 dropped by 40.6 percent.

In the reporting period, Armenia’s foreign trade turnover amounted to USD 18 billion 908 million 366.3 thousand , declining by 33.2 percent compared to the same period in 2024.

Exports decreased by 40.6 percent to USD 7 billion 349 million 13.6 thousand, while imports fell by 27.4 percent to USD 11 billion 559 million 352.7 thousand.

Over the 11-month period, Armenia’s largest export destination was Russia, with exports totaling USD 2 billion 725 million 215.9 thousand, although this figure declined by 9 percent year-on-year. The United Arab Emirates ranked second: Armenia exported USD 1 billion 698 million 159 thousand worth of goods to the UAE over 11 months, despite a 66.2 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2024. China ranked third, with exports amounting to USD 648 million 541.7 thousand, down 38.1 percent year-on-year.

As for exports to the EAEU and EU countries, exports to EAEU member states (including Russia) declined by 7.2 percent, totaling USD 2 billion 948 million 125.5 thousand. In contrast, exports to EU countries increased by 7.6 percent, reaching USD 593 million 641.6 thousand.

In particular, Armenia exported USD 127 million 536.6 thousand worth of goods to the Netherlands, marking an 11.4 percent increase compared to the same 11 months of 2024. Exports to Germany rose by 74.3 percent to USD 101 million 620.8 thousand, while exports to Belgium increased by 15.9 percent to USD 127 million 121.2 thousand. Meanwhile, exports to France declined by 29.5 percent to USD 5 million 895.2 thousand, and exports to Italy decreased by 1.3 percent to USD 60 million 428.5 thousand.
