Ministry of Economy confirms second petroleum shipment from Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Economy of Armenia has confirmed reports circulated by Azerbaijani media regarding the import of a second batch of petroleum products from Azerbaijan.
In response to an inquiry by Armenpress, the press secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Lilit Shaboyan, confirmed the information without providing additional details.
Earlier, Azerbaijani media reported that a larger batch of petroleum products would be sent from Baku to Armenia on January 8. According to the reports, the planned delivery includes 1,000 tons of RON 92 gasoline, 1,000 tons of diesel fuel, and 1,800 tons of RON 95 gasoline.
Petroleum products were first imported from Azerbaijan to Armenia at the end of 2025. On December 19, a train carrying Azerbaijani gasoline arrived at the Ayrum railway station via Georgia. The train consisted of 22 wagons transporting a total of 1,218 tons of A-95 gasoline.
