Top general visits on-duty troops ahead of holidays

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and First Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia, Lt. Gen. Edward Asryan, visited troops in the eastern border area ahead of the holiday season, the Ministry of Defense said in a press release.
The lieutenant general congratulated the servicemembers on the New Year and Christmas holidays and extended his best wishes.
Accompanied by Army Corps Commander responsible for the area, Maj. Gen. Garegin Poghosyan, the Chief of the General Staff visited a number of posts to speak with on-duty troops. He also presented holiday gifts to the soldiers.
