The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia will utilize a number of monitoring and supervision tools during the 2026 parliamentary elections, the commission’s chairman, Vahagn Hovakimyan, said.
“We will be using a range of tools for monitoring and oversight in these elections. To ensure greater transparency in campaign and overall electoral financing, as well as the legality of funding, the Central Electoral Commission has implemented monitoring programs in cooperation with international partners. These programs will allow us to examine online campaigning in a more evidence-based and as comprehensive a manner as possible,” Hovakimyan said at a press conference.
The 2026 parliamentary elections will take place between 2 and 12 June. The exact date will be set by the President of Armenia, but Hovakimyan said that 7 June is the likely date, as it falls on a Sunday.
