Armenian, Dutch foreign ministries hold political consultations

Political consultations were held in Yerevan between the foreign ministries of Armenia and the Netherlands, led by Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Marcel de Vink, Director-General for Political Affairs at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides highlighted with satisfaction the high level of relations between the two countries and the dynamics of political dialogue, the foreign ministry said in a readout.

Discussions were held on the upcoming activities in areas outlined in the Armenia-Netherlands Strategic Partnership Declaration. Among other topics, cooperation in countering hybrid threats was addressed. The participants also discussed issues related to the Armenia-EU strategic partnership agenda, emphasizing the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation in this context.

Vahan Kostanyan presented new opportunities for regional and broader economic cooperation, arising from the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a result of the Washington agreements reached on August 8 of this year.
