Armenian PM’s aircraft bound for Moscow reroutes to Saint Petersburg due to airspace closure

The Armenian government's aircraft carrying Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his delegation, bound for Moscow, had to redirect to Saint Petersburg because the airspace over the Russian capital was temporarily closed, the Armenian PM's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan said on Facebook.

The aircraft landed safely at Saint Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport.

“In the morning, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continued his trip and traveled to Moscow, where he will take part in the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, as well as an international conference on cooperation in the field of science and technology,” Baghdasaryan said.

According to Russian media reports, the airspace over Moscow was closed because of a massive Ukrainian UAV attack.

The PM was traveling to Moscow after concluding his official visit to Germany.
