The Armenian foreign ministry extended condolences over the deadly floods and landslides in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

“Sorry to witness the severe flooding & landslides in Thailand, Indonesia & Malaysia, causing significant loss of life & widespread damage. Heartfelt condolences to families of those who fell victim to the disaster & wishes of strength & fast recovery to all those affected,” the Armenian foreign ministry said in a post on X.

Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand have been hit with cyclone-driven rain for a week, killing about 400 people in total across the three countries, Al Jazeera reported citing local authorities. Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency said on Saturday that the number of confirmed casualties stands at 248, with more than 100 people still missing. At least 145 people were confirmed killed across Thailand’s eight southern provinces as of late Friday. Two people have been killed in neighboring Malaysia. Thousands of families have been displaced.
