Armenian Ambassador to Canada meets newly elected Speaker of the House of Commons

Ambassador of Armenia to Canada Anahit Harutyunyan met with Francis Scarpaleggia, the newly elected Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a number of issues related to the bilateral political agenda, parliamentary diplomacy, and regional security, the embassy said in a press release.

The Ambassador and the Speaker emphasized the necessity of continuously strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.

Ambassador Harutyunyan expressed gratitude for the support provided by Canada toward the democratic reform agenda being implemented in Armenia.
