Armenian Speaker of Parliament expresses readiness to visit Azerbaijan

Armenia’s Speaker of Parliament, Alen Simonyan, has announced his intentions to visit Azerbaijan at a convenient moment.

“I am preparing to visit Azerbaijan at an appropriate time, and I am also preparing to invite my Azerbaijani counterpart to Armenia in some format,” Simonyan, a senior member of the ruling Civil Contract party, said at a press briefing.

Asked whether he has ever received an invitation to visit Azerbaijan, Simonyan responded, “No, I haven’t, but if I do, I will consider that invitation.”
