Armenian Ambassador, German legislator discuss South Caucasus

Armenian Ambassador to Germany Viktor Yengibaryan held a meeting with Member of the German Bundestag Macit Karaahmetoğlu (SPD).

Karaahmetoğlu is a member of the Bundestag’s Committee on Foreign Affairs and recently joined the Germany–South Caucasus Friendship Group.

Ambassador Yengibaryan congratulated the legislator on joining the friendship group.

“We discussed the improvement of Armenia–Türkiye and Armenia–Azerbaijan relations, as well as the Armenia–Germany partnership,” the ambassador said on social media.

The ambassador said that he and Karaahmetoğlu agreed that peace and open borders serve the interests of Armenia, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan alike, and that there is no alternative to the development and prosperity of the region.
