Armenian, Croatian foreign ministries hold political consultations

The foreign ministries of Armenia and Croatia held political consultations in Yerevan co-chaired by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Andreja Metelko-Zgombić, State Secretary for Europe at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. 

During the consultations, the parties discussed the positive dynamics of bilateral relations in recent years and high-level contacts, emphasizing their importance in promoting political dialogue and expanding economic cooperation, the Armenian foreign ministry said in a press release. 

The officials explored prospects for deepening and developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in energy, innovative technologies, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors, as well as the importance of expanding the legal and contractual framework.

The foreign ministry officials also addressed ongoing steps to deepen Armenia–EU partnership and preparations for the 8th Summit of the European Political Community to be held in Armenia in 2026. The importance of studying and exchanging experiences related to European integration was also emphasized.

The parties exchanged views on several regional and international agenda matters, including the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, and the Armenia-Türkiye normalization process.
