MP Hayk Mamijanyan meets MEP Nacho Sánchez Amor

The head of the I Have the Honor (Pativ Unem) opposition faction in parliament, MP Hayk Mamijanyan, has met with Member of the European Parliament Nacho Sánchez Amor, who is in Armenia for the 12th Ordinary Session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.
Nacho Sánchez Amor is the senior member on Armenia in the Democracy Support and Election Coordination Group, and the EP rapporteur on Turkiye.
Mamijanyan presented the internal political situation in Armenia, addressing issues in the judicial system, as well as matters related to the protection of human rights and freedom of speech, according to a readout issued by the parliament’s press office.
The faction leader also spoke about the issue of detained Armenians in Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of support from international partners.
Taking into account the closure of the International Committee of the Red Cross office in Azerbaijan, Mamijanyan said that he had sent a letter to EU Ambassador to Armenia Vassilis Maragos, requesting that the EU Ambassador in Azerbaijan visit the Armenians held in Baku. The parties also discussed regional issues.
