Prime Minister Pashinyan meets Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See

A meeting took place between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See.
The parties emphasized the high-level dialogue between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Holy See, expressing confidence that it will continue to develop and strengthen.
They highlighted that the dialogue is based not only on shared Christian values, but also on common historical and spiritual heritage, as well as similar approaches to the challenges of the modern world.

The Secretary of State of the Holy See expressed confidence that bilateral relations will further deepen and strengthen under the leadership of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
Prime Minister Pashinyan noted once again that it was an honor for him to participate in the canonization ceremony of Archbishop Ignatius Maloyan, adding that “his life reminds us that even in times of suffering, faith and courage can overcome difficulties.”
During the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and underlined the importance of addressing humanitarian issues.
They also touched upon various topics on the bilateral agenda.
