Armenia remains steadfast in upholding freedom of speech and the press as fundamental pillars of democracy, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said on the occasion of Armenian Press Day.
“Today we proudly celebrate Armenian Press Day, marking publication of 1st Armenian periodical in 1794. This reflects vital role of journalism in fostering informed & resilient society. Armenia remains steadfast in upholding freedom of speech & press as fundamental pillar of democracy,” Badalyan said in a post on X.
