Armenian Foreign Ministry Secretary General meets with Head of the Iranology foundation

On October 13, in Tehran, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Davit Karapetyan held a meeting with the Head of the Iranology foundation Ali Akbar Salehi, the foreign ministry said in a readout. 

The interlocutors exchanged views on recent regional developments. Karapetyan briefed on the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, emphasizing the importance of establishing peace and stability in the region. 

Ali Akbar Salehi welcomed the initialing of the Peace Agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the efforts directed toward fostering stability in the South Caucasus. In this context, the unblocking of regional communications and the opportunities stemming from it were particularly highlighted.

The prospects for strengthening cooperation between the expert communities of two countries were discussed, along with the implementation of joint initiatives in the fields of economy, science and education.
