Netanyahu cabinet to convene meeting to formally approve Gaza deal

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called the Gaza deal with Hamas "a great day" for his country.

He said that his Cabinet will meet today to formally approve the deal. The ceasefire will take effect afterward, if approved.

Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza -  a ceasefire and hostage deal.
