Prosecutor-General Anna Vardapetyan receives delegation led by Russian Deputy Prosecutor General

Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan received a delegation led by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Pyotr Gorodov.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia, the delegation arrived in Yerevan to participate in the 10th anniversary meeting of the Interstate Anti-Corruption Council.
Welcoming her Russian counterpart, Anna Vardapetyan highlighted the high level of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
“I am confident that the decisions adopted today will contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of joint work within the Council. When the Council was established, the CIS member states recognized that corruption poses a threat to the security of any state, attached great importance to cooperation in combating corruption, and sought to coordinate their efforts, realizing that this fight requires joint and effective mechanisms,” said Vardapetyan.
“Therefore, the assumption of the presidency of the Council by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia represents another opportunity for effective cooperation.”
Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia Pyotr Gorodov thanked Anna Vardapetyan for the hospitality and for organizing the anniversary session of the Council at a high level. He congratulated her on assuming the presidency of the Interstate Anti-Corruption Council and wished her fruitful work.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
