Egypt's new ambassador presents copy of credentials to Armenian Deputy FM

Egypt's new ambassador to Armenia, Amal Afifi, has presented the copy of her credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan. 

During the meeting, "the sides touched upon the deep historical ties between the peoples of Armenia and Egypt, and underscored the importance of active mutual contacts between the two countries at the current stage, including high-level visits," the foreign ministry said in a press release. 

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia and the newly-appointed Ambassador of Egypt also discussed other matters on the bilateral agenda between the two countries in fields of education, culture, and other areas, and touched upon the opportunities to expand existing cooperation.
