The 2026 state budget draft envisages 3 trillion 628 billion drams in expenditures, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan said at the Cabinet meeting.
The amount includes 2 trillion 924 billion drams in current spending, while capital spending is projected at 704 billion drams — equivalent to 5.9% of GDP.
A deficit of 537 billion drams is expected, which amounts to 4.5% of GDP, compared to 5.5% this year.
“In the medium term, it will decrease to the 2.8% level that maintains debt sustainability,” he said.
The debt-to-GDP ratio is expected to be 53.5% by the end of 2026, he added.
