Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with his Mongolian counterpart Batmunkh Battsetseg in New York.
The foreign ministers discussed “opportunities to expand bilateral relations and to implement concrete initiatives in areas of mutual interest”, the foreign ministry said in a readout.
“During the meeting, FM Ararat Mirzoyan and FM Batmunkh Battsetseg signed the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of Mongolia on the exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the readiness as well as existing prerequisites for further expanding the bilateral legal framework and maximizing the realization of the potential for sectoral cooperation. The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Mongolia also exchanged views on cooperation on multilateral platforms, including within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” the Armenian foreign ministry said.
