Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the establishment of a strategic partnership was the most important outcome of his recent visit to China.
“The most important development I can speak about is the establishment of the strategic partnership between Armenia and China,” he said at a press briefing. “This means that our business community now has a positive political signal to deepen cooperation in the economy and all other areas. Our colleagues simply need to make use of this opportunity.”
Despite transportation limitations due to the distance, Pashinyan continued, the unblocking of regional infrastructure could resolve most of these issues.
“An opportunity is being created for goods unloaded in Armenia to reach China by railway. This represents an entirely new economic reality, and one of our objectives is to take note of this development.”
He added that a concrete partnership has been developed with China, which includes the expansion of opportunities for mutual investment.
