Armenpress, Poland’s PAP establish partnership

Armenpress State News Agency of Armenia and PAP National News Agency of Poland have signed a partnership agreement to exchange English-language news articles. The agreement also envisions opportunities for the exchange of experience between the personnel of both news agencies.

The agreement — the first such partnership between Armenpress and PAP — was signed via video call by Armenpress Director Narine Nazaryan and PAP Editor-in-Chief Wojciech Tumidalski.

The PAP Editor-in-Chief spoke about the significance of the partnership.

“We are very pleased that the bilateral cooperation between the PAP National Agency and the Armenpress News Agency has been officially established. I firmly believe that our agencies are an important part of the global news system. Now, more than ever, we are responsible for the reliability of facts and for strengthening social and national resilience against disinformation. Cooperation between professional and reliable sources in the exchange of information will make Armenian and Polish societies more stable and stronger.
Once again, we thank you — our friends at Armenpress — for making this possible. Let us work together and unite our efforts in the name of journalistic objectivity and impartiality,” Wojciech Tumidalski said.

For her part, Nazaryan highlighted that both Armenpress and PAP were founded in 1918, describing their shared history, values, and heritage as the best foundation for launching a new era of partnership.

“Our journey so far is a testament to the fact that we have honorably withstood the test of time — we are resilient, adaptable, and determined in our mission to inform society. I am sure that this document will open a new field of partnership, serve as a foundation for joint innovative projects, and help our peoples better understand one another,” Narine Nazaryan said, expressing gratitude to the partners at PAP for their trust and readiness to cooperate.

PAP (Polska Agencja Prasowa) is Poland’s largest news agency, with a wide network of correspondents both across the country and around the world. It actively covers political, cultural, economic, technological, and sports events taking place in Poland. PAP is a member of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA).

Armenpress has cooperation and news exchange agreements with around forty international news agencies. It is a member of the Belt and Road News Network (BRNN). Thanks to the active exchange of news, the agency is able to receive fast and reliable information directly from primary sources, as well as be the first to inform international partners about developments taking place in Armenia.
Active international cooperation also provides Armenpress staff with opportunities to exchange experience.
