The 13th regular consular consultations between the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the Iranian Foreign Ministry took place in Yerevan.
The Armenian delegation was headed by Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Davit Karapetyan, and the Iranian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister, Vahid Jalalzadeh.
The agenda of the consultations included issues related to the implementation of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of April 24, 1963, as well as a range of issues concerning the rights and legitimate interests of citizens and legal entities of both countries, the Armenian foreign ministry said in a readout.
“The parties emphasized the importance of continuing the efforts made by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries to enhance cooperation in the judicial, trade, economic, scientific and educational areas. As a result of the consultations, a memorandum was signed between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries,” it added.
