Armenian, Georgian chief prosecutors discuss cooperation

Prosecutor-General of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, on the sidelines of the 30th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) in Singapore, met with Georgia’s Prosecutor-General, Giorgi Gvarakidze.

According to a readout released by Vardapetyan’s office, the Armenian prosecutor-general thanked her Georgian counterpart for initiating the meeting and “highlighted readiness to deepen the good traditions of cooperation.”

“During the meeting the prosecutors-general of Armenia and Georgia discussed the development of international-legal cooperation in criminal cases, and addressed a number of other matters of mutual interest,” Vardapetyan’s office said.

Vardapetyan was elected as member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) on September 9.
