Ombudsperson, ICRC discuss rights of POWs

Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Anahit Manasyan, has held a meeting with Daphnée Maret, the Head of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Armenia.

Manasyan lauded the cooperation between her office and the ICRC delegation, attaching importance to the continuity of the ICRC work. 

“A number of matters of mutual interest were discussed, including issues pertaining to the rights of the prisoners of war, missing persons and their families. The jointly implemented projects in the area of international humanitarian law were addressed,” Manasyan's office said in a statement.

Maret reaffirmed ICRC’s commitment to continue cooperation.
