Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that humanitarian issues were also discussed during his visit to the US although it is not recorded in the joint declaration signed with Azerbaijan.
“This is not expressed in our documents but I want you to know that very significant and important conversations about humanitarian issues have also taken place. As I have said in the past, we never avoid in any conversation the issue of our missing countrymen, the issue of our compatriots who are imprisoned or held captive,” Pashinyan told reporters in Washington.
Given the sensitivity of the issue, no statements regarding the matter are made in advance, Pashinyan said.
“We’ve addressed the matter on the highest level and we will be consistent to see the resolution of these issues,” Pashinyan said.
