Italian charge d'affaires summoned to Russian Foreign Ministry

The Russian foreign ministry said it had summoned the Italian chargé d'affaires in Moscow, Giovanni Scopa on Tuesday because of an alleged "anti-Russian campaign" in Italian media.

"The Italian charge d'affaires has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry because of the campaign against Russia in the Italian media and Rome's disproportionate reaction to Moscow's position," the ministry said in a statement.
