The high activity in the loan market has been maintained, according to Central Bank officials.
Central Bank Deputy Governor Armen Nurbekyan told a news conference that the activity in the mortgage and construction markets has been higher than expected.
“There were over 20 thousand transactions in June, which still remains a high indicator even compared to the very high indicators of the past years,” he said.
The central bank official said he sees a more stable situation than anticipated.
Consumer loans have also significantly increased, which is associated to some extent with the high growth in construction.
“Overall the high activity in the loan market has been maintained, particularly the activeness in construction and mortgage markets has been a lot higher than expected,” the official said.
