Turkish authorities have announced that law enforcement agencies in Istanbul thwarted a terrorist attack that was supposed to target the Justin Timberlake concert on July 27, Turkish media reported.

According to the report, the plot was thwarted thanks to “swift actions of police.”

Thousands of security personnel, including special forces and anti-terror squads were on duty at the concert.

The concert proceeded without incident.
