Prime Minister Pashinyan advocates for jury trial in new Constitution

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan considers it necessary to introduce the institution of a jury trial in the new Constitution.

“The people are the supreme authority and the constitutional authority. That is, the people are the owners of judicial power, including the judiciary. I believe that the biggest problem with our justice system is that it does not have an organic connection with the people. I am convinced that in the context of the new Constitution, we must definitely introduce the institution of a jury trial, because the people must have an organic connection with the judicial system,” the Prime Minister said.
