Cabinet approves signing of €50 million Armenia: Resilient Syunik program with EIB

The Cabinet approved the signing of the €50 million Armenia: Resilient Syunik framework loan agreement with the European Investment Bank.
The program is divided into two parts – 25 million euros for improvement of water supply systems in 55 communities across Syunik, and another 25 million euros for educational and healthcare components, according to Davit Khudatyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures.
The funds are envisaged for building and developing educational and healthcare facilities, public buildings, water supply infrastructures and acquisition of medical equipment, as well as implementation of an energy effeciency program.
